The Role:
As ATC’s Iraq/Levant Regional Manager, you will be responsible for leading the research, analysis, and
operational output of the Iraq & Levant team. This role provides strategic direction, ensures the
delivery of high-quality intelligence products, and manages a team of analysts covering Iraq, the
Levant, and Turkey. The successful candidate will combine subject matter expertise with strong
leadership skills to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable security intelligence to clients. Key
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Iraq & Levant research and analysis team, ensuring high-quality
output, consistency, and adherence to company standards. - Provide tactical and strategic-level security analysis covering Iraq, the Levant, and Turkey
- Produce and oversee intelligence products, including:
o Tactical country-specific security assessments.
o Regional strategic analyses examining the interrelation between security,
political, and economic developments.
o Client briefings, special reports, and bespoke analytical products. - Ensure analytical products are concise, accurate, and supported by reliable data and evidence.
- Review, edit, and approve written reports and intelligence assessments produced by team
members. - Mentor, coach, and develop analysts by providing regular feedback, guidance, and training.
- Coordinate research priorities, workload allocation, and project timelines across the regional
team. - Identify emerging security trends, geopolitical developments, and regional risks that may
- affect client operations.
- Present/direct complex analysis through clear written reports, data visualizations, maps,
charts, and presentations. - Conduct verbal client briefings, both online and in person
- Collaborate with other regional teams and departments to support cross-regional analysis
and company-wide intelligence products. - Maintain subject matter expertise through continuous monitoring of regional developments
and open-source intelligence.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in the security, political, and geopolitical dynamics of Iraq, the Levant,
and Turkey. - Strong experience producing both tactical and strategic-level security analysis.
- Proven experience managing or leading research and analysis teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise,
and client-ready analytical reports and briefings. - Strong analytical thinking with the ability to connect tactical developments to broader
regional and strategic trends. - Experience presenting data effectively through charts, maps, dashboards, or other visual
formats. - Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple
priorities and deadlines. - Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration within a distributed team.
What You Bring:
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Middle Eastern
Studies, Intelligence Studies, or a closely related discipline. A PhD is considered an advantage. - At least 8–10 years of professional experience in threat intelligence, geopolitical risk, security
consulting, government, military, journalism, academia, or a comparable analytical field. - Demonstrated experience leading analytical teams and managing complex intelligence
projects. - Strong understanding of structured analytical techniques and Open-Source Intelligence
(OSINT) methodologies. - Experience engaging directly with senior clients and delivering executive-level briefings.
- Ability to make sound analytical judgments under pressure while managing competing
priorities. - A network of contacts and relationships throughout the region to help gain local ground truth
and insight to enrich reporting depth and timeliness
Working Hours:
- Standard work schedule is Sunday to Thursday, aligned with the Levant workweek.
- Candidates must reside within UTC to UTC+5 to ensure effective collaboration with the
regional team and clients.
