The Head of Regional Security – APAC is responsible for the implementation, management, and continuous development of all security-related measures within the assigned region. This position ensures that global standards, guidelines, and procedures defined by Group Security & Resilience are consistently applied and appropriately adapted to regional requirements, risks, and regulatory environments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implementation and execution of global security policies, standards, and processes within the assigned region.
  • Acting as an interface for security-related matters between local and global corporate functions.
  • Providing security briefings for travelers; acting as a point of contact for expatriates; coordinating and monitoring travel activities in the region using travel security service providers.
  • Establishing and maintaining local crisis and business continuity structures as well as conducting corresponding exercises in close cooperation with Group Crisis Management.
  • Acting as the regional contact during crisis situations and supporting local crisis and emergency teams.
  • Responsibility for Supply Chain Security including transportation risks, secure logistics, and anti-counterfeiting measures.
  • Responsibility for physical security including access control and building security standards.
  • Analysis of regional threat landscapes and preparation of risk and situational reports.
  • Ensuring a functioning escalation and reporting process for incidents.
  • Supporting crisis management and business continuity activities in the region.
  • Collecting and reporting regional KPIs to assess security performance.
  • Organizing and conducting security trainings, and site risk assessments.
  • Building and maintaining a network with authorities, security service providers, and industry partners in the region.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Participation in group-wide projects aimed at further developing the security strategy.
  • Consulting on new construction and renovation projects within the region.
  • Selection and management of external security service providers.
  • Advising local managers on security-related issues in daily operations.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Required Education: Completed university degree (e.g., Security Management, Criminology or Political Science) or completed law enforcement, military, or comparable professional training with several years of practical experience.
  • Required Experience: At least 10 years of practical experience in the private or public security sector.

Special Knowledge / Skills

  • Several years of professional experience in security management, ideally in an international organization.
  • Experience implementing guidelines, standards, and programs defined by a central security organization.
  • Extensive knowledge in Travel & Expat Security, Physical Security, Business Continuity & Crisis Management, Executive & Event Protection, Security Risk Management & Intelligence, Threat Management & Security Awareness, Supply Chain Security, and Investigations.
  • Knowledge in analyzing security policy and geostrategic developments (global/regional).
  • Strong understanding of cultural and geographical conditions in the region.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Well-established professional network in relevant areas.
  • Extensive knowledge of necessary tools and applications.
  • Willingness to undertake national and international travel.
